Shenzhen Industrial Design Association

The Shenzhen Industrial Design Association (SIDA) was founded in 2008. It’s charter and functions are supported directly from the Shenzhen Municipal Government. Members include: product design companies, product manufacturers, technology and material manufacturers, brand planning and marketing agencies, design institutions, research institutes, and various companies supporting the industrial design value chain.

SIDA has developed into China’s largest association in the industrial design industry. It is the first organization in China to join ICSID (International Industrial Design Federation. SIDA is also the principal organizer of the Shenzhen International Industrial Design Festival.

Shenzhen is the base of operation for nearly 5,000 design agencies. More than 500 may be considered large industrial design enterprises with more than 50 employees. There are more than 50,000 people employed in the industry that maintains an annual output of over 270 USD Million.
